The Heart Behind GraceBridge
Hello!Every bridge starts with a foundation. Ours is built on grace, knowledge, and an unwavering belief in every child's potential.
For years, Anika worked as a nonprofit specialist supporting families of children with disabilities. She worked with parents who were exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure of their rights. She watched as families struggled to communicate with schools or connect to resources, and it became her calling to serve them.
GraceBridge Advocacy was born from that calling. Founded in Houston County, Georgia, we exist to walk alongside families with grace, knowledge, and faith. Anika brings a deep understanding of special education law, IEP and 504 plan processes, and the real-world challenges parents face when advocating for their children in school systems.
But beyond the expertise, Anika brings something that can't be taught: genuine understanding and compassion. As a mother to a child with a rare chromosomal abnormality and profound intellectual disability, she knows the challenges families raising children with disabilities face. She believes every child is uniquely gifted and every parent has a voice that deserves to be heard. Her mission is simple — to empower parents to become confident, informed partners in their child's education.
When she's not advocating for families, you'll find Anika behind the microphone of a podcast, Grace in Motion, where she and Pediatric Physical Therapist Beth explore themes of growth, healing, and purpose with the same warmth and honesty she brings to her advocacy work.
Why This Work Matters
Every year, millions of families across the United States sit in IEP meetings, 504 plan reviews, and school conferences where critical decisions are made about their child's education. Many of these parents walk in alone — unsure of their rights, unfamiliar with the process, and overwhelmed by the weight of it all.
The gap is real. Special education law is complex. School systems, even well-intentioned ones, don't always communicate clearly. And parents — who know their children best — often feel unheard, dismissed, or simply lost in the paperwork. This is especially true for families of color, families in rural communities, and families without access to expensive legal counsel.
GraceBridge exists to close that gap. Not with confrontation, but with collaboration. Not with judgment, but with grace. We believe that when families are empowered with knowledge and supported with compassion, extraordinary things happen — for children, for schools, and for entire communities.
This work matters because every child's future is worth fighting for — and no family should have to fight alone.
